Adored for its Cool Girl aesthetic and bold colourways, Jacquemus has garnered a cult following that includes Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa and the Kardashian-Jenners. No stranger to a viral moment, Simon Porte Jacquemus, designer of the eponymous label, has once again set the internet ablaze by sharing news of an upcoming collaboration with Nike.
The Jacquemus x Nike collaboration, which was four years in the making, will feature female-focused ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear that combine Jacquemus' minimalism with Nike's sporty silhouettes. “I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way, so we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors," explained the designer in an official statement.
So far, the only sneak peek we've been granted is of an open-back tennis dress with a leather-and-gold band brandishing the iconic swoosh. However, the designer did share that he will be reinterpreting Nike's Humara sneaker for the limited-edition collection. Jacquemus x Nike drops on 28 June on Jacquemus' official website, followed by a worldwide launch in Nike stores later this summer.
