Dior has finally reopened the doors of its 30 Montaigne flagship store after two years of renovations. Built in 1865 by Napoleon's son, the iconic address on Avenue Montaigne is where Christian Dior opened the first-ever Dior boutique in 1946. He was instantly enamoured by the address and shared, “It had to be 30 Avenue Montaigne. I was going to settle here and nowhere else!” It has now become the largest, most-visited Dior boutique in the world.
Part boutique, museum and hospitality hub, architect Peter Marino designed the 10,000 square-meter space to not only offer a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, but to guide visitors through Dior's heritage. 30 Montaigne is home to one of the largest fashion-focused exhibitions in France and features archival pieces from the Maison's storied 75-year history.
Aside from Dior's fashion, beauty, jewellery and homeware collections, the space also houses two world-class restaurants helmed by French chef Jean Imbert; the Dior pastry café and Monsieur Dior restaurant are must-visits for any Dior enthusiast.
In addition, visitors can check in to La Suite Dior - private apartments where guests can benefit from unlimited boutique access, private shopping experiences and access to personal chefs - or get back to nature at any of the boutique's three gardens - an homage to Monsieur Dior's love of gardening and the outdoors.
