Ola Farahat is pregnant! The Palestinian fashion influencer shared the joyous news on Instagram and YouTube in an emotional video chronicling her IVF journey. Since sharing the news with her 1.3 million followers, Ola has shown off her maternity style on social media and took fashion month by storm.
Although styling a growing bump has always been a dream of hers, Ola admits transitioning her wardrobe was an adjustment in the beginning. "I found it a little challenging, especially when it comes to work and working with sample-size pieces," Ola shares. "I am enjoying it and learning more about how to get creative with certain pieces." Here, Ola shares her favourite pregnancy outfits with MOJEH. The best part? Her pregnancy style guide is applicable for women without bumps, too. "I didn’t buy much maternity clothing and just sized up in normal clothes," explains Ola.
"I love using bright colours that are reflective of this very happy time for me," Ola says of her kaleidoscopic maternity wardrobe. Case in point: this optimistic yellow-and-orange set that is summer encapsulated. Crocheted separates are a versatile springtime staple, taking you from poolside to party with a simple accessories switch-up.
Searching for a dinner date ensemble? Take style cues from Ola and pair feminine hues with punchy neons. The fashion influencer wears a silk Versace dress - complete with iconic extra-large safety pins - and lime-green handbag, and shares that it is one of her favourite pregnancy looks so far: "It’s so feminine and perfect for this time in my life."
Ola stepped out at Paris Fashion Week for Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2022 in the House's multi-coloured Mahina Monogram fitted dress and parka, accessorising with a bright-red Petite Malle clutch.
The ideal ensemble for a working mother-to-be, Ola teams comfortable trousers with lightweight knitwear and an azure structured blazer, adding a pop of colour with a strawberry-red Prada Femme handbag. "I always try to keep things fresh and bright with all my outfits," she explains.
Yellow signifies hope, happiness and positivity, so it is no surprise that Ola gravitated towards sunshine shades for this joyous chapter in her life. "This is my favourite look! It's so vibrant and happy," she gushes. Interrupt tonal looks with neutral accents; Ola does so with white pointed-toe mules, crisp short-sleeved shirt and statement jewellery.
What's a fashion lover to do when it's sweater weather in the morning and sweltering in the afternoon? Pair a sumptuous Prada cardigan with a leg-baring mini, of course. Ola adds her signature pop of colour to the monochromatic look with a Prada handbag.
Extra, extra, read all about it! Ola is championing belly-hugging pieces throughout her pregnancy and is empowered by the opportunity to do so. "I have always wanted to style a bump. I find it so empowering to women," she tells MOJEH. Here, Ola complements the black-and-white mini with strappy stilettos and a splash of citrus. Follow Ola's pregnancy style journey on Instagram.
