13-time Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams is taking over from Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams has been appointed creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton, taking over the position from late visionary Virgil Abloh. Pharrell is a cultural icon, having contributed to music, arts and fashion throughout his decades-long career. He co-founded production group The Neptunes and hip-hop band N.E.R.D, and has produced award-winning records for some of the biggest names in the business. In a statement shared on Instagram, the House wrote, "The way in which he breaks boundaries across the various worlds he explores, aligns with Louis Vuitton’s status as a Cultural Maison, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneer spirit, and entrepreneurship."

The Grammy-winning musician has become one of the industry's most sought-after creatives thanks to luxury fashion collaborations with Adidas, Moncler and Louis Vuitton as well as co-founding streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club. Speaking on Pharrell's role, Louis Vuitton's chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari said, “I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men’s Creative Director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”

Pharrell will reveal his debut collection in June 2024 at Men's Fashion Week. We predict streetwear-inspired silhouettes, eclectic prints and plenty of personality.
