How To Wear: All White Everything

Embrace top-to-toe tonal dressing and invest in winter white

Wondering how to wear white, winter's trickiest trend? We’ve already witnessed the return of white boots, and now it looks like we’re being given the white-out treatment from top-to-toe.  White is usually reserved for beach dressing and brides, but this season we’ve seen it infiltrate our wardrobes and it makes for a truly refreshing take on winter dressing.

From cool and crisp shirts and tailoring to ultra feminine dresses and casual denim and wool separates, the tone of fashion’s new uniform is as pure as can be. This colour trend happens adaptable to all situations, too.

Long and lean separates make for perfect office-appropriate attire – especially when interspersed with a smattering of black.

For off-duty cool, layering textures will show off your fashion prowess and keep the look interesting. Tonal dressing can be a little bit one dimensional and mixing interesting and tactile textures is the best way to combat this – for example, a cable knit or mohair knit jumper would work really well with a silk skirt.

You could also channel a completely contemporary look in clean and simple silhouettes – be sure to match your whites, or add a more neutral element if it’s all starting to feel too clinical. Contrasting black accessories can also pack a punch.

Thanks to a plethora of influencers flaunting their wears on the streets of Fashion Week, we have plenty of inspiration on just how to tackle this trend, too. Editors and fashion week guests were seen hot-footing around in all-white outfits, miraculously managing to keep them immaculate while constantly on the go. Here's how to wear white...
