Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Daniel Lee's latest collection for Bottega Veneta is bursting with joyful hues and comes to life in our shoot, captured by Greg Adamski. Practicality is introduced into fashion once more with airy linen jumpsuits, denim separates and candy-coloured knitwear in silhouettes made for throwing on before heading out the door - a routine we know all too well. However, this isn't knitwear as you know it. Stylist Kelly Baldwin shows how Daniel Lee has reinvented knitwear for the scorching weather ahead, creating lighter, summer-friendly pieces in striking shades; one example being the (presumably) tinkerbell-inspired, bright-green knitted suit. If you'd rather a more subtle approach, inject colour into a monochrome wardrobe with Bottega's fanciful footwear, which comprises everything from colour-block sneakers to multicoloured mules, available in both knitted and leather versions.
From the practical to the downright whimsical, Bottega Veneta has pulled out all the stops this season. On the latter end of the spectrum, we see a seashell-embellished dress reminiscent of a '20s flapper ensemble and an intricately embroidered piece complete with fringing, each strand of which is punctuated with a wooden bead. Elsewhere, reflective car illustrations adorn dresses while leather makes its way into the collection via a sweatsuit that we feel would live up to its name when worn in the Middle East - although we are sure that won't stop the style set from giving it a go.
