Woman Of The House

Houssein follows Paola as she explores sun-drenched hallways and grand rooms complete with art-covered ceilings and mosaic walls, the collection's gold and pearl embellishments highlighted in the sun's rays. A checkerboard palette of gothic, all-black tweed and delicate white fabrics is interrupted by splashes of royal blue and golden hues. Accessories are also given a dose of the royal treatment; the 11.12 bag makes an appearance in embroidered velvet while the headband is elevated with cascading pearls which dance with every movement. Pearl-and-metal chokers, chunky cuffs and chandelier earrings dial up the drama.
Combining sumptuous fabrics with dresses fit for daytime, Chanel's Métiers d’art 2020/21 Collection fuses elements of romanticism, Renaissance and rock into one stunning collection. As Virginie Viard explains it, "I like everything to be mixed up, all the different eras, between the Renaissance and romanticism, between rock and something very girly, it is all very Chanel.”
