After days of their cryptic Instagram posts featuring a blonde mystery lady wearing three outfits from their new archival-inspired line, the French fashion house has confirmed the rumours. Britney Spears is in fact the new face of the brand. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh in Los Angeles, the Princess of Pop took to social media to reveal the new campaign, which marks her first ever for a major fashion house. “Britney is certainly an icon and the quintessential queen of denim,” the brand said in a statement. And who can argue that? No one made the case for low-rise jeans like Spears did back in her “I’m a Slave for you” days. And with the nineties in full throttle at the moment, taking over 2018, it seems that history is repeating itself once again with Queen Britney deciding what we wear.
