This week we’re talking to Anisha Oberoi. A sustainability advocate, skincare obsessive and gastronomic gladiator, the CEO of Secret Skin connects conscious consumers to sustainable and ethical beauty brands, one day at a time.
I wake up…naturally at 7.30am. I then chant for a few minutes before checking my phone. I like how quiet both the inner and external worlds are at that time, so I try to not let the day in too soon.
My morning routine normally consists of… sitting on my balcony in the sunlight drinking coffee and listening to an uplifting audiobook or podcast. I also write in my gratitude journal, which leaves me feeling centered in preparation for the day. Then it’s a shower before I start working at my home office or get ready for meetings.

I’m responsible for…as founder and CEO of Secret Skin, a tech startup in the sustainable beauty space based in UAE, I’m responsible for running the entire show!
My typical day…consists of overseeing operations, brand development activities and fundraising initiatives for Secret Skin. It involves a lot of meetings too! Outside of work I try to exercise three times a week and finish by 8pm everyday so that I can relax in the evening.
My go-to working wardrobe consists of… loungewear at home, and structured work dresses or pantsuits when out.
My go-to beauty look for the 9-5 looks like…a very ‘skinimalistic’ process. I layer on skincare products like Vitamin C, serum and sunscreen after cleansing. I hardly wear makeup except a soft auburn kohl on my eyelids with mascara.

For lunch I eat…recipes from a meal plan that prioritises fibre intake and protein—mostly chicken or fish with veggies and greens.
What I love most about my job is…the ability to create value and inspiration in every new interaction through the narrative of beauty.
And what I enjoy the least is…reviewing all of the contracts!
I couldn’t live without…the man in my life; he’s the power behind my power.
When I feel stressed I…binge watch Grey’s Anatomy.
