THE SHINING PATH

Mar 19, 2015 | 1 min read

Bodoni’s exploration of dance culture makes a statement at Green Art Gallery.

Zsolt Bodoni’s striking figures in The Shining Path at Green Art Gallery cut through the canvas drawing the eye away from the graphic colours that form the pieces. Bodoni himself describes his subject matter as ‘this melting pot of trash which forged Eastern and Western Europe’s history and culture’ combined with Labanism. Named after the Hungarian dance artist Rudolf Laban, the painted figures strike a pose as they dance around the canvas in paint much like Laban himself.
