Netsu by Ross Shonhan marries traditional crafts with cuisine at this month's exhibition

Dubai institution Netsu by Ross Shonhan is hosting an exclusive exhibit of works by celebrated Japanese photographer Hiroshi Watanabe to pay homage to the traditional art of Kabuki. Kabuki is a classical form of dance-drama originating in 1603 in which characters wear elaborate costumes and makeup. Kabuki Secrets features exclusive images by the award-winning photographer and offers a rare glimpse into the lives, performances and dedication of Kabuki players. This is the first time Watanabe's Kabuki Players portrait series will be showcased in the Middle East.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can avail of a complimentary beverage while browsing. Staying for dinner? Tuck into a curated selection of theatrical dishes and cocktails as part of a limited-edition menu prepared tableside - think tuna tamake hand rolls and wagyu kawarayaki grill. Kabuki Secrets is available to view at Netsu by Ross Shonhan until 12 November.
