French house Dior celebrates the marvellous work of Marc Bohan in a new book
Out this month, Dior by Marc Bohan is the latest release by the famed French house. Part of a series of seven books devoted to the designers that have headed Dior, the book chronicles three decades under Marc Bohan. Author Jérôme Hanover explores Bohan's storied career documenting the 30 years through archive imagery in addition to hundreds of photos shot by Photographer Laziz Hasani. Recounting the longest relationship between a designer and the house of Dior, the book follows his journey from 1961 to 1989. According to Dior, Bohan possessed a spirit of discovery and freedom, one that played a huge influence on his work for the house. Over the course of three decades, he established close links with the art world and the most famous personalities of the time, including artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
