The news that Celine would be joining the Paris men’s show schedule came less than a week ago, now Hedi Slimane has released his first menswear campaign for the house.

Featuring images captured by Slimane himself, the short film showcases a number of key looks that were presented at the Celine SS19 show during Paris Fashion Week. The line-up of menswear emphasises skinny suiting along with double-breasted jackets, leather rider jackets and tiny ties. Inspired by Paris’s post-punk and cold wave moments of the 70s and 80s, the video montage is set to a dance track from the '80s by the French synth-pop duo Ruth and is shot entirely in black and white.

The full Celine SS19 ready-to-wear collection, including the entirely unisex tailoring, will be available from February 2019.
