The 2024 Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night to celebrate achievements in music and, in-keeping with the Grammys' reputation of being the most fun event of awards season, it was a night to remember.
Taylor Swift has had a busy year travelling the world for her Reputation tour and it seems she shows no signs of slowing down. When accepting the Album of the Year award for Midnights, Taylor Swift announced the April release of a new album titled The Tortured Poets Department. Not only did she break the internet with her announcement, but the superstar broke a Grammys record by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year four times. Other momentous moments from the 2024 Grammy Awards included Miley Cyrus' first win. The fact that Miley Cyrus did not win an award for The Climb is a travesty in any Millennial's eyes, but the 31-year-old was finally awarded her first Grammy Award for chart-topping hit, Flowers, followed by Best Pop Solo Performance for the same.
Phoebe Bridgers and her band boygenius walked away with the most awards of the night - a total of four trophies - while the Barbie soundtrack scooped three Grammys, with Billie Eilish winning two for What Was I Made For? and the movie itself being awarded Best Compilation Soundtrack.
