A sustainable fashion brand, designed and developed by women for women
Back in 2015, Bianca Balti was walking Dolce & Gabbana’s autumn runway while eight months pregnant. Now, the model turned designer has released her very own self-named line of maternity dresses, which debuted at Milan Fashion Week.
Designed to offer a high-end selection of beautifully crafted maternity wear, the brand focuses on sustainability and each garment is crafted from dead stock fabrics, which are carefully scouted in the Los Angeles area, where they are brought back to life.
Photos of pregnant style icons like Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, and Jane Birkin inspired the ’60s baby doll dresses in Balti’s debut collection, which includes a blush-pink ruffled knit tunic, simple cotton shirt dresses, cropped jackets, and even a black velvet shirtdress with jewel buttons and a contrast collar. Each dress is also sold with matching bloomers.
“Using the inspiration from my childhood and teenage years, the taste defined by my 14 years of modelling, the experience of being a two-time mother, and the courage in the resourceful and independent woman that I am today, I have committed myself to create these fun, fashionable, luxurious and sustainable dresses devoted to the best nine months in a woman’s life”, explained Bianca Balti in a press release.
