Gigi Hadid gave Instagram a virtual glimpse into her newly renovated Manhattan apartment, situated in New York city. Describing the space as her “dream spot,” the supermodel revealed that she had spent most of 2019 designing and curating the property before leaving the city to quarantine at her mother’s serene farmhouse in Pennsylvania.
Giving Gigi an exciting reason to return to the city, the freshly decorated apartment is an eclectic mix of colour and cosiness. The focal point of the living area is a brightly hued Missoni couch, with printed pillows by Jean-Paul Gaultier, wrapped around a coffee table topped with trinkets and vintage magazines. Colorful canvases from LA artist, Austyn Weiner, are placed throughout the city pad, while a statement-making painting by Eamon Harrington hangs in the hallway.
Scattered with quirky, one-off pieces — think vintage skis, crystals and handmade porcelain lamps — the apartment is a maximalists dream, boasting a more is more attitude throughout. This mood is taken one step further in the kitchen, where plant-dyed pasta art is displayed behind the glass on cupboard doors; from florescent green-tinged fusilli to OTT orange linguine.
A unique space designed to reflect Gigi Hadid’s lifestyle and passions (of course there’s a dressing area complete with lighted mirrors), the apartment offers a colourful haven in the hustling heart of the city. Home sweet home.
