Rainbow hues proved one of the biggest beauty trends of the SS20 season. From teal lids to tangerine lips, paintbox brights combined with painterly strokes to a create a make-up masterpiece in every shade of the spectrum.
Christian Siriano was inspired by “painterly abstract beauty,” with make-up artist Erin Parsons creating sky blue and mint green eyes, paired with fuchsia pink beneath the brows. And at Oscar de la Renta, extravagant cat eyes were painted in duo colour combinations; playing with electric blue and OTT orange, or garish green and hot pink.
While these brave and bold make-up looks wowed on the runway, in real life it’s easy to shy away from statement looks. But with many of us behind closed doors in self-isolation, now is the perfect moment to get creative with your make-up — from daring lips to artistic freestyle lids, it’s time to express yourself.
