London-based Parisian Sara Brajovic first encountered the heady world of fashion when Peter Lindbergh snapped a shot of her aged 11 while she was holidaying with her family in the south of France. She has since modelled, acted and published her way into a life of creativity, and is regularly snapped on the fashion week streets for her standout and always effortless style. We interview Sara to talk style, travel and beauty.

Between modelling, music, studying history, acting and writing about all things style-related, which do you identify with most?
It’s all a part of who I am. I think it is important to express yourself in as many ways you can and be relevant. I think that we all acquire new experiences as we go through life and as a result we learn more about ourselves. We grow as people and this manifests in the work that we produce. I think it is important to always stay curious and cultivate your zest for life.
How would you define your style?
I would say that it is playful. The underlying thread is that comfort is essential. Materials and cut should be of the best quality.

If you had to choose one designer to represent your style, who would it be?
I am really drawn to Italian fashion. If I had to choose one I would say the artsy and perfectly tailored pieces that Karl Lagerfeld creates for Fendi.
What stands out for you about style and design in the Middle East?
I think that women in the Middle East are beautiful and always look perfectly groomed. I’m enjoying the designs that I have had the pleasure to wear like Reemami and Nathalie Trad. There is a lot of creativity, sometimes humour and always amazing quality.

You’ve been an ambassador for Tod’s and Aquazzura recently, how did those collaborations come about?
Both brands have the essential Italian stamp of high quality craftsmanship. It is great to be part of these two houses and to be chosen to represent them.
Tell us about one of your favourite experiences from your time working as an events director at Karla Otto PR.
There are many but the one that really sticks in my mind was the location scouting for one of our clients and the pioneer idea to rent out the Grand Palais in Paris. I had the pleasure to work with the legendary fashion show producer Etienne Russo and watch his genius mind work on the set design. It was incredible to watch him create a whole new parallel world.

Where is your favourite place to be in the world?
A fine balance between a couple of different locations is the key to happiness. I absolutely love to spend time in the mountains. I was born in Paris and am very attached to my childhood memories there but I spent most of my teenage years in the Alpes. Spending time in the mountains regenerates me: long walks, hikes and bicycling around in the summer and skiing in the winter. Other destinations that I find special are Montenegro, Amalfi Coast and Corsica – the nature there is wild and powerful.
Our autumn style issue recently hit the stands, what do you most look forward to in the big fashion issues?
I have to admit that I am most interested in the interviews!
What are the three fashion items will you be purchasing this autumn?
I have my eye on the Tod’s Wave bag and some coats from Fendi. Also there is a beautiful jumpsuit from Reemami that I have my eye on and a couple of gypsy dresses from the Georgian sisters duo Tatanaka.

As the weather starts to cool, how do you change your beauty regime?
I am not sure I change anything, I just make sure that I go to bed early, like most nights. Beauty sleep is essential to me.
Which skincare products do you swear by?
Being in love!
Which recent projects have you been most excited about?
A piano concert in Rome where I performed with other internationally renowned musicians in a visionary concept that combined artists, musicians, photographers, directors and dancers in a one hour live show.
