Formalising its approach to sustainable beauty, Net-A-Porter follows Net Sustain’s established framework which considers materials and ingredients, processes, reduced waste, craft and community, and now vegan and animal welfare – with every product meeting at least one consideration from the eco-criteria.

“Since the launch of NET SUSTAIN in June 2019, we have been committed to expanding in this area and enabling our customer to make informed choices,” says Net-A-Porter’s Global Buying Director, Elizabeth von der Goltz.

“We are especially excited to launch beauty into the platform, following extensive on-boarding and vetting processes. Terminology with sustainable beauty can mean different things to different people – but, Net Sustain celebrates the brands that place sustainability at the heart of their business mission.”

Net Sutain’s new phase also welcomes 45 additional fashion brands, with 17 exclusive capsule collections that support the notion of sutainable staples you can wear forever – showcasing classic pieces from Theory, Gabriela Hearst, By Malene Birger, Bite Studios,Aaizel, and more.

The new eco-friendly apparel and beauty essentails have been captured in a campaign inspired by the work of artist Lewis Miller. Shot in London, the imagery features a backdrop made from recycled flowers and materials – with floral installations that give new purpose to discarded blooms in an attempt to reduce waste and create a second life.
