Nettare di Fiori, the third instalment in the Gucci Bloom series is released today and actress Dakota Johnson fronts the campaign
Dakota Johnson and Gucci Bloom Nettare Di Fiori are captured by photographer Glen Luchford in a dreamlike moment. Nature flourishes. Overgrown plants and flowers entwine the space, transforming it into a room that’s intimate and surreal. Scenes appear to drift between dream and reality, inspired by the original Gucci print.
“It’s a dream, like a waking dream. Mysterious, and not immediately understood, the scent is very voluptuous and ideal for a multi-faceted woman,” says Alberto Morillas, the perfume’s creator. “This scent is much more intimate and closer than Bloom and Acqua di Fiori because those scents represent sensations that happen outside. Nettare di Fiori is more secretive and intense. Above all else though, it is mysterious.”
Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori captures flowers at the fullness of their bloom, radiating their most powerful scent. Feminine notes of Rose and the Osmanthus flower are intensified with additional accords of Jasmine, Rangoon Creeper and Tuberose at the heart of the fragrance. Featured in a crimson pink, sheer Gucci dress, Johnson perfectly embodies Nettare di Fiori. The scent conveys a deeper sense of femininity in the woodier, sensual blend with Ginger and Rose in the top notes, and a soft, enigmatic finish in base notes of Patchouli, Musks and Osmanthus.
“There are notes that contrast with each other because nature is really important to Alessandro (Michele), so we’ve taken Moss and used Papyrus flowers, branches and roots to create a contrast,” explains Alberto. “This contrast feels as though it’s been captured from the outside where we’ve created a garden, in which you can smell moss, dead leaves and flowers, but the flowers are not that important. It’s about the power of nature.”
