The royal baby is due in the spring of 2019

It’s official, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed they are expecting their first child. Kensington Palace took to Instagram to share the news noting that the child is due in the spring of 2019.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” The Palace wrote alongside a photo of the happy couple.

The Duchess sent Twitter into a frenzy on Friday after thousands of users speculated her fashion choice at Princess Eugenie’s wedding suggested she was pregnant. And it has since been revealed that Meghan told The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family the good news at the ceremony.

The exciting news came just hours after the duo touched down in Sydney, Australia for their first international tour. The 16-day tour will also take the couple to New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
