This is certainly not your standard fashion show invite
The invite for Hedi Slimane’s first Celine show, which will be held at Paris’s Place Vauban, is a bound book comprising of seven folded and removable double-sided posters showcasing iconic nightclubs in Pairs: Balajo, Bus Palladium, Chez Castel, Chez Jeannette, Chez Moune, Folies Pigalle, La Cigale, La Java, Le Rouge, and Pile ou Face.
Slimane has always had a penchant for party going and these black-and-white photos, which were taken by the designer himself, accurately portray a map of Paris by night. Slimane recently celebrated his 50th birthday at Paris’s Le Palace, a club Slimane was a regular at in his teens. Between art history classes at Ecole du Louvre, Slimane would also slip into Le Palace or Les Bains Douches, which triggered his future as a fashion designer.
