We’re always on the lookout for the latest hang-out, the newest spa or the most delicious dining experience in Dubai, so we’ve put together our pick of five great events for you to try this week – don’t miss out!

1. Relax your mind and stretch your body with yoga on the beach

Swap your trip to the gym for a revitalising hatha session with a view. Try an outdoor yoga class on Al Qasr beach at sunset with a breathtaking backdrop of the Arabian Gulf and the Burj Al Arab, or opt for a location closer to home for a calming, soothing session with yoga guru Vijay Sharma.

2. Visit the newest high-end beach club for drinks and dancing

Basking in the view of the Burj Al Arab is the Cove Beach, the hottest new beach club offering a modern twist on Mediterranean cuisine. Open until 3am, this new elegant hotspot offers a chilled alternative to DJ-based events.

3. Taste Jason Atherton’s cuisine at Beach Canteen

As Dubai Food Festival comes to an end, Beach Canteen at Kite Beach is celebrating with a little help from renowned chef Jason Atherton. The Michelin-starred chef will be cooking all weekend and his delicious cuisine is an indulgence you certainly don’t want to miss.

4. Watch your favourite movies in the warm spring evening air

The biggest outdoor cinema screen in the UAE, La Playa Lounge is re-opening daily from 6pm-9pm. With the evenings still breezy and warm, why not curl up on sofas, socialise with friends and munch on popcorn while watching the latest movies. Seriously, where else would you want to be?

5. See one of Dubai’s largest pieces of street-art

Whether you’re an art fan or not, you can’t help but be astounded by Barcelona-based artist Ruben Sanchez’s abstract painting covering a wall in JLT. The piece took five days to paint and highlights the city’s ever-expanding art scene.
