Beauty at the Screen Actors Guild Awards

Natalie Portman. Perhaps the only time the words silicone and Hollywood are used in the same sentence to positive reviews is in the instance of the MakeupDrop. This unique silicone-based makeup applicator doesn’t absorb any make-up, which allows for a cleaner, fuller application. Natalie Portman’s makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, used the tool to create the actress’ luminous glow, by mixing two shades of foundation for luminescence. The actress’ hair was also swept and pinned back in a demure up do.
Evan Rachel Wood. Fancy a natural glow like no other? Look no further than IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream, which is used religiously by Toby Fleischman, Evan’s makeup artist. The actress generously applied the hydrating serum into the skin before following with Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Powder (made by the same company) for a porcelain complexion. The actress’ hairstyle also played a major part in her fresh appearance with a slick back style that accentuated her glowing skin.
Brie Larson. Another star to perfectly embody the beauty of the mantra ‘less is more’: Brie Larson embodied cool thanks to her makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, who used NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint, bronzer and a touch of blush to accentuate the actress’ cheekbones. Like Natalie Portman, her hairstyle was a complementary textured yet wavy up-do.
Amy Adams. Stephen Sollitto, a fan of light makeup was inspired by the colour of the star’s Cartier deep blue Cartier necklace. He used this as a base for the slates of pewter and slate that ran gently along the eyes to accentuate the natural colour of her eyes. His products of choice for the look included Laura Mercier’s Inner Eye Definer in Stormy Grey, Jouer Buttercream Shadow and Urban Decay Naked for the outer shadow of the eye. Amy’s hair was side-parted and swept back with a matte-finish spritz.
Emma Stone. Rachel Goodwin, also known as Emma Stone’s makeup artist, utilised the vivid print of water lilies on the actress’ dress as inspiration for her eye makeup. She blended deep shades of translucent green that also mirrored the actress’ eye colour, while elsewhere hair was delicately curled with a high gloss finish reminiscent of Old Hollywood legends.
Ariel Winter. Thick mermaid waves parted at the centre, a bronze glow and a bright tangerine lip shade that offered just the right pop of colour. The actress let her golden Mikael D dress do the talking

The SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild Awards) was awash with beauty trends that offered that perfect combination of red carpet in the most artfully applied selection of colours. As we look through our top six favourite looks it’s important to note the subtle quality of each individual beauty look as opposed to seasons past.
