On brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants or embroidered on watch dials by the Lesage workshop, the camellia opens the way to the fascinating world of Chanel symbols. Forever favoured by Mademoiselle Chanel, the camellia, the flower of both dandies and courtesans became symbolic in contributing to the emancipation of women. She preferred the camellia’s purity, its almost geometric roundness and its petals’ classical order and perfect symmetry. This delicate flower became an element of her style in 1913 and has since been referenced in every Chanel collection. For its absolute purity and infinite femininity, the white camellia became her emblem and so this new collection is, in main, curated from white gold and white diamonds. Pure, simple and undeniably beautiful.
