For one night only, the exclusive doors of #TheMiuMiuClub opened to showcase the brand’s ’17 Cruise Collection in an intimate Parisian affair that housed Kate Moss behind the decks and rewarded guests with a spectacular space from which to observe. From fashion to furnishings, rich textures, acid brights and crossing cultures were a running theme and like something straight out of Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel, colliding historical and cultural references were plucked from a range of sources.
Playing on the post-modern sense of personal style, fluro pink silk hats and sneakers shared their shape with Nineties rave culture whilst pale pastel dresses were heavy with Seventies-inspired microprints and Indian embellishments. And the sliders stole the show, golden-yellow or mandarin red feathers dotted with blue and green jewels looked like they were taken straight out of Copacabana and repurposed for the cruise deck.
