Was your social media feed flooded with Loewe tank tops, Prada slingback and Van Cleef & Arpels' jewellery during 2023? The experts at Luxury Promise have crunched the numbers and are sharing the luxury Houses everybody couldn't get enough of last year.
Luxury Promise, a leading e-commerce platform specialising in preowned luxury, conducted a study which analysed Google Search data over the last 12 months as well as data from brands' social media platforms to determine the most sought-after luxury brands of 2023.
According to Luxury Promise's research of global search volumes, Louis Vuitton tops the list of most in-demand designer brands in the world. Balenciaga and Gucci tied for the second position, while Dior and Rolex both came in third with over four million searches each. Chanel and Prada rounded out the top five with 3.3 million searches and 2.7 million searches respectively. Moving over to social media, Dior tops the list of most-followed brands on TikTok with 7.5million followers, while Chanel takes the number one spot on Instagram.
As far as brands to keep an eye on for 2024 goes, Luxury Promise analysed the increase in search volume for over 80 brands around the world and saw the most growth for Van Cleef & Arpels, Chloé, Loro Piana and Loewe. As the shift towards quiet luxury continues, searches towards the end of 2023 decreased for logo-centric Houses including Balenciaga, Gucci, Burberry and Bottega Veneta.
In addition, premium shopping platform and fashion tech giant Lyst shared the breakout brands for Q3 of 2023, declaring Tory Burch and Helmut Lang as frontrunners thanks to the former's CFDA nomination for Womenswear Designer of the Year and the latter's trending stencil hoodie. As for Q3s trending products, the Maison Margiela Tabi Mary Jane leads the pack and is accompanied by the Loewe puzzle tote, Miu Miu cardigan and Prada 3D flower heels.
