These New Year’s Eve Dresses Will Look Just As Good Around The Dinner Table As On The Dancefloor

While we certainly don’t need an excuse to dress up, we can’t think of a better reason to throw on a glamorous frock than saying goodbye to 2020.

While we certainly don’t need an excuse to dress up, we can’t think of a better reason to throw on a glamorous frock than saying goodbye to 2020. And while New Year’s Eve might look a little different this year, regardless of how you plan to celebrate, there’s no denying you need a solid ensemble to make the occasion.

Even if you’re just staying at home, 2020 is most definitely the year to discard your loungewear for one night and go all-out in sequins, satin, metallics and lamé – perhaps all thrown together with a feather or ten.

Luckily MOJEH has rounded up the most jaw-dropping dresses on the market, and there’s quite the selection this year.

First up, as is common for the festive season, there’s plenty of ‘80s sparkle about – take Gucci’s azure sequin gown with embellished collar or Taller Marmo’s loud and proud multi-coloured mini complete with feather trim.

For something a little more refined that doesn’t compromise on glamour, Bottega Veneta’s nude floor length gown is a game-changer, as is Valentino’s feather-trimmed beaded gown.

Of course the LBD will be out in force, and if you want to up the ante on last year’s installment, we’re obsessed with Christopher Kane’s velvet number that comes complete with an exaggerated bow.

Scroll through the MOJEH edit of New Year’s Eve dresses that will look just as good around the dinner table as on the dancefloor, and prepare to see 2020 off in style.
