S/S16 Trend Report: Runway to Racecourse

Mar 24, 2016 | 5 min read

Plan your outfit for the races taking cues from the s/s16 runway

Dubai World Cup is just around the corner, which also marks the onset of the spring’s social calendar in full swing. The races are a time for a flutter - both on and off the racecourse. This season we’re ditching the supremely wide-brimmed hat and fanciful floral skater dress for s/s16 slip dresses and floral hair accessories to stay fashion forward.

The Luxe Slip

Supple silks, indulgent lace and lots of skin — these spell the lingerie-inspired trend of the season in a bevy of slinky slip dresses and sheer nightshirts.

The Floral Crown

Elegant, braided up-dos with intricate floral headpieces bring back the bohemian spirit of summer.

Drawing Strings

Make a pick of the perfect drawstring bag – from eye-catching hardware to tribal prints, the versatile versions mean it can pack plenty and still retain its cool, laid-back silhouette.

The New English Rose

The trick to achieving the perfectly imperfect oxblood lip as seen at Burberry is to leave the edges soft and blurry around the perimeter for a fuller and stronger allure.
