The penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week was brimming with achingly cool autumnal collections, fit right for the female form.

From Stella McCartney's sustainable collection to Giambattista Valli's signature florals and Alexander McQueen's androgynous approach to Fall/Winter '19, here are the collections you need to see...

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney has long been known for making a statement through her eponymous label. Whether it's to tackle environmental issues or standing up for women empowerment, her latest collection proved one of her strongest collections yet.

The politically-charged womenswear separates continued to highlight her popular approach to sustainability and of course, femininity.

The message conveyed was loud and clear through an edit of wearable pieces. They featured rich combinations, defined structures and utilitarian elements.

With a juxtaposition of strength and softness, the collection came in the form of softly fabricated coats with dramatic shoulders, wide-legged trousers and multicoloured up-cycled dresses (made by using vintage T-shirts that are stripped, knotted and knitted).

Giambattista Valli

This season, Giambattista Valli refined his love affair with tulle and toned it down for his latest ready-to-wear collection.

Still boasting a hefty amount of femininity, the essence didn't come in the form of voluminous, red carpet-worthy gowns. However, in cocktail dress silhouettes and skirt-blouse combinations this season. In addition to the floral prints, the pieces were adorned with ruffles, feathers and bows – a Giambattista Valli we all know, and love.

The eponymous designer also offered a more masculine approach to everyday-wear with a selection of sleek suits and leather trousers.

Alexander McQueen

Complete with a powerful vision of craftsmanship, Sarah Burton's Fall/Winter 19 collection for Alexander McQueen resulted in a spectacle.

Held at Lycée Carnot, sharply-tailored masculine suits, silver heddle embroidered dresses and voluminous fabrics exploded on the runway.

Models sported elements of youth and individuality with exquisitely fine tailoring, asymmetrical jackets, leather coats and a slew of statement-making dresses.
