Dec 25, 2024 | 3 min read

Warm and indulgent, the Pantone Colour of the Year evokes the comfort of chocolate and coffee

By annually selecting a singular hue, the Pantone Colour Institute sparks global conversations around colour among the members of the design community and beyond. The colour reflects a global sentiment and highlights the relationship between itself and culture. For 2025, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse has been declared the colour of the year, a warm, comforting brown reminiscent of decadent chocolate mousse. Notably, it is also the first time a shade of brown has been given the title.

From interior design to your everyday wardrobe rotation, Mocha Mousse will soon take the lead. The soft brown evokes the feeling of comfort, making it an easy hue to embrace, be it in your wardrobe or home. To incorporate this versatile shade into your collection, consider pairing it with neutrals like cream and beige, or adding a pop of colour with vibrant accessories.
