WITH LEATHER GAINING SERIOUS MOMENTUM THIS SEASON, IT'S TIME TO ADD A GLOSSY VINYL FINISH TO YOUR LOOK
In the past leather has been considered a relatively high-maintenance fabric and the aesthetic it’s adopted has always been quite severe – think dominatrix, biker, utility. This season, though, leather is coming over all feminine, luxuriously soft and shiny.

On the catwalks, designers have been manipulating leather into elegant tailoring and dresses. Hugo Boss’ version of the leather pencil skirt has already shot to fame courtesy of the Duchess of Sussex – who wore both a green and burgundy version.
Obviously what happens on the catwalk never stays there. And many of the fashion crowd have been wearing their leather looks on the streets. We’ve seen everything from understated individual pieces, to statement sets. Believe us when we say it – these are the key pieces you should be shopping this season and this is how to wear them.
On the streets of Milan Fashion Week, a minimal white t-shirt and pumps helped to dress down this statement python-look leather two-piece.
THE TROUSERS
THE SHIRT
Leather shirts are one this season’s hero pieces. They can be worn over jeans or with a plain tee by day, or teamed with an equally impactful skirt – as seen here – for a more glamorous look.
THE JACKET
A ‘70s style leather blazer teamed with complimentary autumnal tones offers an instant seasonal update. Case in point, above.
THE DRESS
Influencer Camille Charriere wore an olive green shirt dress with balloon sleeves during Fashion Week. The chunky military boots make this the perfect day look, while adding a delicate heel could easily elevate it.
THE SKIRT
Model Soo Joo Park teamed a simple black button down shirt with a Tod’s tan and black leather skirt.
