Accessory Focus: The Neckerchief

0.5 min read

March into autumn with one of the season's coolest accessories.

Chloe | Roberto Cavalli | Chloe | Vetements | Nina Ricci

When it comes to the neckerchief forget the age old adage ‘size does matter’, these simple squares of fabric can effectively transform a look. Featured on numerous runways during the AW16 shows, brands such as Chloe and Nina Ricci tied neat, chic bows with theirs, while Roberto Cavalli channeled 70’s luxe by pairing loosely knotted neckerchiefs with denim shirts and python skin jackets.

The neckerchief is a transitional piece that works just as well in the summer as it does in the winter and can be styled in a multitude of different ways. Liven up your weekend wardobe by adding to a white t-shirt and denim shorts combo or channel the wild west in off-duty denim by folding one into a triangle and tying at the nape of the neck. For a more polished look opt for a sleek silk neckerchief and tie on the side. Choose bright, patterned prints to inject colour and flair to an outfit.
