The Wardrobe Shake-Up: Just Add Pink

2 min read

This season, it’s all about standout colour and from blush to raspberry, pink is a trend worth investing in, right now.

Spotted on the autumn winter catwalks, and on the streets of fashion week, it is time to brighten up your look.

There’s always something significantly more glamorous about the show-goers at Milan Fashion Week. It’s a city that favours the bold. On the streets, the fashion crowd seemed to be channelling that unrestrained sprit with kalaedoscopic colour and print. But one unapologetically feminine hue ruled above all others, pink. Read on to discover how to get that Italian-girl style.

Off the catwalk, we witnessed an explosion of colour with all shades of pink being graciously embraced. Here is our pick of the best.

Designers Molly Goddard, Hugo Boss and Chanel all displayed completely different aesthetics, yet all had one colour in common, pink.

At Molly Goddard, the model transcended the catwalk in unabashedly feminine tulle, at Hugo Boss it was translated into smart, workable tailoring, and at Chanel it was presented top-to-toe– think pink tweed trousers, matching jacket, bag and cape. Devine.

Once considered too cute to be cool, pink in all its glorious iterations, has now grown up and come out as one of the most sophisticated colour trends of autumn winter. From subtle nudes to berry tones and deep, vibrant fuchsia we’re embracing it in all forms and in all areas of dress.

In a season ruled by quietly luxurious greys and beiges, a punchy colour injection is a guaranteed mood-lifter. The future is female, and pink, apparently. Shop our pick of the best looks, here:
