Alexina Graham is our forever style inspiration and this season is no exception; the top model kicks off April in moody hues, laid-back layering and easy silhouettes.
While we’d usually advise against wearing a Maxmara trench on the beach or, in fact, visiting the beach at all on a day as gloomy as the one captured here by Rhys Frampton, nothing will keep you warmer than luscious layers. Beach aside, layers are an investment you’ll be thankful for, especially when summer comes around and freezing air conditioning makes its return. Browse our shoot for cosy cover-ups courtesy of Jivomir Domoustchiev, Isabel Marant, Moschino and more.
While neutral colours are most prevalent in our shoot, stylist Sayuri Bloom couldn’t resist adding playful pops of pink – it is springtime, after all. Case in point: Versace’s impeccably tailored suit and Givenchy’s cut-out crossbody.
Alexina showcases both casual, oversized suits and cinched waist blazers, leaving us wondering one thing: where was Sayuri when we were planning our return-to-work wardrobe? A go-with-everything palette makes dressing easy and allows for seamless transitions from boardroom to bar. Add some sparkle with Schiaparelli’s embellished jacket and swap your Louis Vuitton trainers for a pair of Balmain heels to ensure you’ll be the best-dressed guest every time.
