Ice cream hues and candy coloured palettes make a strong case for the pastel trend this season

If the Spring Summer 18 collections where anything to go by, then this season’s pastel trend is definitely not one for the wallflower. Yes, it’s time to pack on the drama and make a statement with head to toe gelato hues. Sounds delicious? We couldn’t agree more.
On the runways Hermès served up yummy layers of sorbet lemon, while Sies Marjan had us drooling over creamy pistachio hues. But it was Victoria Beckham who really proved that delicacy can be strong sending out dreamy number after dreamy number, all in the sweetest of ice cream shades. Her version of the power suit, slim and tapered in full on violet, had us asking for extra scoops.

And if the runways weren’t proof enough that this was spring’s sweetest trend, then one look at the candy coloured palettes lightening up the streets will definitely have you going down the pastel route.
