MACH & MACH, the brainchild of sisters Nina and Gvantsa Macharashvili, has swiftly risen from its origins in Tbilisi, Georgia, to become a major name in fashion capitals like Paris and Milan. This rising star in the fashion world has caught attention in the  Middle East, where its distinctive designs are turning heads and winning hearts.

In a recent conversation, Nina and Gvantsa shared their journey from a local label to a global sensation. Reflecting on their time in Paris and Milan, they revealed how these experiences have shaped their brand. “We’ve grown a lot as a creative duo and as a company,” they said. “Our time in Paris and Milan has been incredibly inspiring. Being based in Milan now, with a permanent showroom and offices, allows us to maintain the high quality standards we set for ourselves and to continuously innovate.”

The influence of celebrities like Dua Lipa, Beyoncé and Solange has also played a significant role in boosting MACH & MACH’s visibility. “When we design, we create something unique and bold,” the sisters explained. “The visibility from celebrities has been powerful and enchanting. It has brought us immense joy and motivated us to aim even higher.”

The brand’s growing popularity in the Middle East reflects a strong demand for luxurious and unique fashion pieces. During a recent visit, the sisters observed that customers in the region are always on the lookout for something new and special. “Our designs resonate well with customers here,” they noted. “They are always searching for distinctive additions to their wardrobes.”

The spirited culture of the Middle East has also influenced their design approach. “We find the balance between expressiveness and sophistication in this region very inspiring,” they shared. “It’s wonderful to see our creations being worn for both everyday outings and special occasions.”

As they continue to expand in the Middle East, Nina and Gvantsa are dedicated to staying connected with their Georgian roots. “Maintaining a connection with our heritage is very important to us,” they said. “Georgia’s unique cultural blend enriches our work and helps us stay true to our origins as we grow globally.”

Their latest collection, debuting on 20 September at Milan Fashion Week, promises to be a highlight. “We are excited to present our new designs, including innovative elements like loafers and riding boots,” they revealed. “The ‘Galaxy’ accessory, with its infinite loop crystalized pattern, symbolizes our ongoing relationship and the lightness we wish to convey.”
