I wake up... early, unless I have been travelling. My house is a busy one, so waking early gives me some ‘me time’ to focus.
My morning routine normally consists of... checking my emails and my Instagram. Then I’ll see what orders have come in overnight, and I also try to fit in a workout most mornings to get myself ready for the day. I head to the office straight afterwards and usually order breakfast in, so I can eat on the go.
I'm responsible for... the overall vision and trajectory of Fabric of Society. I have an amazing team who will come to me with creative and event ideas as well as suggestions of brands to take on, and I will ensure these are in line with our long-term goals.
My typical day... starts at our head office. The team works here in Kuwait, Dubai, London and New York, so I arrive early to get ahead of the day and check how everything is on the logistics and warehouse side before the creative and marketing teams log on, and that side starts to take up most of my day. We have a lot of Zoom calls to discuss press events, next season orders and shoots.
My go-to working wardrobe consists of... mostly tailored pieces from brands like LVIR or Rohe, but always worn in a comfortable way, with a pristine tank top or sneakers from Axel Arigato. I can be running to different appointments, so my looks are smart but practical.
My go-to beauty look for the 9-5 looks like... dewy, clear skin, clean brows and gentle definition. I’d like to say it’s not overcomplicated but I’m a beauty fanatic! I adore Dior and also anything by Charlotte Tilbury, as well as One/Size, Huda Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills.
For lunch I eat... a salad with some protein at the office. I love food, and even more so when I get the chance to eat with big groups of friends and family, which I do when I can!
What I love most about my job is... the buzz and the feeling it gives me at the end of the day. I am lucky to do exactly what I want to do — whether that’s attending glamorous shows at Paris Fashion Week or the less glamorous task of checking brand deliveries when they arrive at the start of a season.
And what I enjoy the least is... okay, perhaps checking deliveries isn’t my favourite thing! But it is still a reminder of how far we have come.
I’m currently working on... some brand partnerships in the Middle East, and have just hosted an amazing event in London during Fashion Week to bring Fabric of Society to a new set of customers there.
When I get home... I’ll do a 6k run on the treadmill to de-stress and then catch up with my friends at my house.
I couldn't live without... my family. They keep me grounded (my mother always knows what to say and when), they inspire me (my dad is such an amazing business leader) and they make me laugh (I have four sisters so home life is hilarious and loud!).
When I feel stressed I... work out. Exercise is so important to me and it also serves as time to work through any problems from the day and find a solution.
If I wasn’t in my current position, I would be... doing something else in fashion. I never take it for granted that I get to do my dream job every day, but if I wasn’t running my own business, I’d be working for another fashion marketing or PR company. Seeing fashion moments come to life and how style connects people, really interests me. Shop now
