PFW SS18: Weekend Round Up

Elie Saab: Elie Saab’s Amazonian warriors marched the runway in an array of exotic skins and lush foliage prints. Glamourous kaftans, party dresses and evening gowns were all enhanced by the jungle themed interiors.
Isabel Marant: Presenting both mens and womenswear collections together this season, Isabel Marant took a genderless approach to her new spring/summer collection. A sportswear element was carried throughout the collection with athletic trousers and voluminous tops and jackets favoured.
Nina Ricci: The French Foreign Legion was the foundation for Guillame Henry's latest collection, with military references echoed through tailoring and the inclusion of brass-buttoned jackets and oversized utilitarian pockets. Candy colours featured heavily, bringing a touch of the femininity we have come to expect from the house.
Haider Ackermann: A focus on precision tailoring with a mix of well-designed suits, coats and jumpsuits formed the backbone of Ackermann's collection. Sherbet shades were blended with black to add a fresh seasonal spin to the designs, while asymmetrical shoulders were referenced throughout.
Loewe: Inspired by a woman on her travels with a penchant for culture, Jonathan Anderson showcased his knack for combining international influences such as traditional handwoven fabrics from South America to artisanal patchwork from the United States. The collection felt bohemian with soft pastel colours that spoke to summer.
Alexis Mabille: Titled Paris Blossom, Alexis Mabille utilised quintessentially Parisian stripes which were emblazoned on everything from dresses to skirts. Romantic floral headpieces gave an ode to the whimsical, balancing out masculine suiting and complementing soft shades of pink and blue
