Putting on another stellar show this season, Nicolas Ghesquiere’s reign continued in full force. Appearing to step out of The Matrix, his dark-lipped beauties descended with a powerful stride and the no holds barred attitude we have come to love. An obvious sports luxe influence could be felt through bold blue, red and green striped prints over athletic knits and active jumpsuits. Models donned slouchy trousers in slippery look fabrics and cropped leather biker jackets that provided a modern edge to softer accompanying fabrics. Chain graphics were wrapped around free flowing silhouettes while leather paneling adorned sleeves and traced the arms of a select few. Peplum tops were given structure and utilitarian zips were fixed to the bust. Models walked in heavy combat boots in varying lengths and bags were compact in leopard print and the familiar monogram. The amazing set was designed by Paris-based artist Justin Morin, who envisioned pillars protruding out of the floor with fractured mirrors covering the exterior.
