“I’m very pro new technology. We should go to the future,” exclaimed Carolina Herrera at her autumn/winter show, which stays true to her word, with models walking the runway in some of the designer’s most experimental designs yet. Her reimagined workwear consists of ethereal hued midi skirts teamed with sharp jackets, and co-ordinated pantsuits and jumpsuits with 3D embroidery and rich furs that are sure to make a lasting impression.

The American designer steered the label into new waters with his marine themed winter show complete with abundant nautical motifs on a variety of vintage wool and denim sailor pants. Forties dresses made an appearance with novelty printed silk frocks and frilly quirky sock-and-shoe pairings. Perfect for a dramatic entrance.

Rosie Assoulin

Known for her exaggerated sleeve blouses and sweeping asymmetrical designs, Rosie Assoulin’s autumn/winter collection proposed a bevy of statement seperates, from expertly stitched suits to velvet-trimmed pajamas with a casual allure. A one-shoulder poet-sleeve white cable knit and relaxed version of a prairie dress pose as perfect head-turning style inspirations for creative types.

The Olsen siblings’ autumn collection is a testament of their famed attention to intricate details, as they presented a plethora of lavish textiles and textures in double-face cashmeres, sheared astrakhans and swaggering leather coats, teamed with skilfully stitched full skirts and relaxed pyjama pants. Perfect for modern minimalists with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and fine details.

Zac Posen

This season, Zac Posen means business. A far cry from his red carpet ready voluminous gowns, the designer took a more laid-back approach to evening and daywear with tailored woollen flannel pantsuits in an army of rich jewel tones and with decorative buttons. The colourful suits and A-line dresses also come in embellished versions that take you straight from boardroom to ballroom.
