Today April 9, the grandeur of Watches and Wonders Geneva begins, heralding the start of the largest watch Salon ever hosted in the city. The event, a beacon for enthusiasts and industry insiders alike, will commence at 8:30 a.m., promising a must-see horlogerie spectacle.
This year, the event will be open to insiders from the 9th but will welcome the general public from April 13 to 15, at the prestigious Palexpo-Geneva. This inclusive move allows for a broader audience to engage with the intricate world of watchmaking, with detailed programming available on the Watches and Wonders platform.
With 54 exhibiting Maisons set against an exquisite backdrop, the Salon is poised to reveal the latest marvels in watch collections and innovations. This convergence of heritage and modernity is not just for seasoned collectors but also opens its doors to novices and aficionados, inviting them to immerse in the culture and craftsmanship of watchmaking.
The emphasis will be on innovation, with a special focus on young people, offering a truly educational and cultural platform. “We have noticed a growing interest in our industry from the younger generation, with an average age of 35 on the public days, which is extremely encouraging,” comments Matthieu Humair, CEO of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation.
