New cuisine, collections and collaborations - MOJEH wraps up this week's news across fashion, beauty, culture and jewellery

It is (rather unfortunately) time to get back into routine as holiday season comes to a close for those in the region. With new launches, fashion revamps and cultural events slowly filling calendars, there's not much time to think about anything else. Case in point? Mugler's sunglasses collaboration with Gentle Monster, a first-of-its-kind art fair descending upon Dubai and the opening of a world-famous Latin American restaurant on the shores of Muscat. Here's everything you may have missed this week.

Make A Bold Move

Mugler has teamed up with Gentle Monster for a limited-edition sunglasses collection and it's the collaboration we never knew we needed. Merging Mugler’s signature spiral details with Gentle Monster’s art-inspired styles, the collection features two silhouettes that are at once bold and feminine. If you’re in the mood for something over-the-top that guarantees some serious sun protection, this collaboration has the ideal selection; opt for the goggle-shaped violet mirror lenses with chrome silver frames to add colour to a neutral ensemble or keep it minimal with classic black shades. A Question Mark

High jewellery met functionality when Frédéric Boucheron first revealed the Question Mark necklace in 1879. A symbol of feminine empowerment and independence, the clasp-free necklace required no assistance as it could be affixed to the neck in a single movement. This year, over 140 years since its creation, the Maison celebrates with a reinterpretation of the iconic necklace and thereby an extension of the design’s story. The latest additions to the question mark collection are reversible necklaces adorned with rubies, emeralds and sapphires on their fronts and pavé diamonds on the reverse. In-keeping with the House's expertise in multi-wear pieces, the collection also boasts question mark necklaces with removable and transformable elements, allowing them to be worn as chokers, brooches and hair jewellery. Defying conventionality, this necklace remains a game-changer. Shape Shifter

Building a wardrobe of trending pieces is thrilling, of course. But to have an arsenal of staples you can trust? That is priceless. The high-waisted jeans that always flatter, that one pair of stilettos that you can wear pain-free, the handbag that goes with absolutely everything (and can carry everything in it, to boot). Maison Margiela’s new 5AC East West handbag firmly falls into the latter, thanks to a spacious, elongated silhouette, internal pocket and unisex appeal. Available in multiple colourways and materials and able to be worn by hand, over the shoulder or crossbody, the 5AC East West is a hero for all occasions. Shop now
