Miuccia Prada collaborated with artist Cécile B. Evans for an immersive runway presentation that questions our memories -  not only how long they exist, but whether they were really cemented in the first place - and the link between emotions and our tangible objects. These memories are what Miuccia Prada honoured in the Miu Miu autumn/winter 2024 collection through a wardrobe of sartorial markers of moments in time, inspired by development of character and the scope of peoples' lives.

Miu Miu explores the duality of reminiscence and functionality in a split-personality collection that allows women to see themselves within pieces that mirror the necessities of the day to day alongside the rebellious spirit of adolescence.

The innocence of childhood is brought to life through shrunken proportions - cropped jackets, mini dresses and quarter-length sleeves reign supreme - alongside school uniform-like pieces including co-ords and round-toe Mary Janes. Meanwhile, adolescent freedom is represented through shocking brights and relaxed, pyjama-like silhouettes worn underneath impeccably tailored outerwear in ensembles that are at once haphazard and harmonious. This is juxtaposed with the sophistication of adulthood; brooches, a string of pearls, tailoring, carry-all totes and the little black dress recall the working woman's wardrobe.

Modern Miu Miu staples persist: the schoolgirl cardigan complete with the brand's logo; the Miu Miu skirt, though transformed to a voluminous midi length rather than a thigh-grazing mini; wear-everywhere denim; and exposed undergarments that lean into the devil-may-care approach of the Miu Miu woman.
