This holiday season, Loro Piana and Harrods invite you to embark on a festive journey unlike any other. Until 2 January 2025, the historic Brompton Road façade, 36 magical windows and two pop-up boutiques at Harrods will transform into a celebration of Loro Piana’s 100 years of heritage, craftsmanship and exquisite natural fibres. Dubbed the "Workshop of Wonders," the collaboration showcases the Maison's dedication to artistry and innovation in a spectacle that merges fantasy with luxury.
Harrods' iconic Brompton Road façade comes alive with an animated display narrating the transformation of Loro Piana’s cherished fibres into exquisite fabrics. From bales of cloud-light material to a towering 17-meter holiday tree adorned with fabric swatches and ornaments, the installation is a classical tribute to Loro Piana’s century-long journey.
The 36 Harrods windows extend the storytelling, offering a glimpse into the lives of the animals, landscapes and artisans behind Loro Piana’s legendary fibres. Visitors will also find two immersive pop-ups offering exclusive products and interactive experiences. The first is a treasure trove of Baby Cashmere beanies, embroidered fabrics and festive decorations, where you can find monogrammed cashmere scarves and plush alpaca toys, ideal for unique holiday gifts. The other is a celebration of the art of gifting, complete with cashmere-wrapped holiday trees and whimsical workshops where guests can craft their own festive decorations.
The Workshop of Wonders also marks Loro Piana’s centennial milestone, honouring its evolution from a wool-trading company to a global symbol of Italian craftsmanship. Two newly opened boutiques at Harrods deepen the connection - the Loro Piana Interiors Boutique, showcasing home decor, and the Kids Boutique for little ones.
Infused with a nostalgic 1920s aesthetic, the Workshop of Wonders celebrates the artistry behind Loro Piana. Moving sets resembling marionette theatres and hand-painted puppets add an old-world charm. Visitors can marvel at a magical loom spinning yarn in the archive window or admire couture-inspired displays featuring handcrafted eveningwear.
Exclusive collections crafted for Harrods range from timeless men’s and women’s ready-to-wear to accessories and leather goods. Festive touches include bespoke embroidery, holiday red accents and the iconic Harrods green woven into signature items. Whether it’s the velvety ballet flats embroidered with golden thistles, monogrammed scarves, or a wood-and-glass snow globe encasing a cashmere goat, the offerings blend festive cheer with timeless elegance.
