When Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez announced in January 2024 that they would be stepping down as creative directors of Proenza Schouler, the beloved New York label they founded in 2002, it sent shockwaves through the industry and rumours were swirling about the design duo's next move. Now, we have an answer.
McCollough and Hernandez have been appointed creative directors of Loewe, following Jonathan Anderson's departure earlier this month. They will have the entire creative responsibility of all Loewe collections across womenswear, menswear, leather goods and accessories and will begin their new chapter on 7 April.

"We are incredibly honoured to join Loewe, a House whose values and mission align closely with our own," they said in a statement. "We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent - under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson - has shaped Loewe into the cultural force it is today."
The duo met at Parsons School of Design and have won countless accolades since founding Proenza Schouler, including CFDA Designer of the Year (which they won no less than five times).
