An actress, a playwright and Hollywood's favourite husband-and-wife duo are co-chairs for this year's fashion extravaganza

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has revealed the four co-chairs for the 2022 Met Gala

The 2022 Met Gala is fast approaching and it has just been revealed that Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds will be co-hosting the ball alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Anna Wintour, Tom Ford and head of Instagram Adam Mosseri remain honorary co-chairs.

Taking place on the first Monday in May, the Met Gala will celebrate the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute and the exhibition titled In America: An Anthology of Fashion. The 2022 Met Gala is part two of the Met's homage to American fashion; part one, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, took place in September 2021. In America: An Anthology of Fashion will showcase the foundations of American fashion, honouring designers from the 19th to 20th century.

Actress and director Regina King frequently tops best-dressed lists thanks to bold fashion choices. Similarly, Blake Lively is adored for her style and shut down the Met Gala 2018 red carpet with a velvet Versace gown and gold headpiece. She'll be accompanied by her husband Ryan Reynolds for the event and we can't help but wonder whether they'll opt for a couple ensemble. The 2022 Met Gala marks renowned director and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda's first appearance, as he was scheduled to host the 2020 edition before its cancellation.
