Jan 24, 2025 | 2 min read

Directed by Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai, the film brings together ambassadors and friends of the House including Marion Cotillard, Naomi Campbell and Vanessa Paradis to celebrate 110 years of haute couture

Chanel has celebrated sartorial freedom, savoir-faire and heritage through its haute couture creations for over a century, infusing time-honoured techniques and archival inspirations within even the most modern of designs. This ability to consistently reinvent while maintaining the allure and fundamentals of the Maison is a quality unique to Chanel and an intimate documentary is being unveiled to showcase this for the first time.

To commemorate the upcoming unveiling of the spring/summer 2025 haute couture collection on 28 January during Paris Couture Week, Chanel invited models, ambassadors and friends of the House into the ateliers at Rue 31 to reflect upon the emotions tied to haute couture and celebrate the unrivalled craftsmanship of the oldest active haute couture Maison. The film, directed by Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai, offers a rare glimpse into the creative process and allows multiple perspectives of haute couture to be shared, from the seamstresses discussing the painstaking process behind every stitch - "We put all our heart and soul into each item" - to Marion Cotillard, Naomi Campbell and Vanessa Paradis describing the honour of wearing the finished masterpiece.
