All things art, bejewelled and arabesque...

Taking inspiration from Middle Eastern architecture for her latest collection, Damali.

"To create Damali, my latest collection of unique pendants, my inspiration was primarily the art and architectural motifs found particularly in the Middle East. Although I have travelled to the region many times, the attention to detail and the beautiful intricate designs never cease to fascinate me. The word Damali means 'beautiful vision', and I believe that it perfectly describes what I see when I find myself surrounded by such delicate forms. I have tried to replicate that with the pendants, each different and precious from its forefront to its backside."

Her love for Oman and its arabesque beauty…

“Oman has an aura that is indescribable due partly by its wonderful people and by its incredibly rich culture. I was particularly struck by the most heavenly designs found at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, in Muscat. The most elaborate arabesque forms were etched and painted into infinite patterns creating a sense of unity, serenity and spirituality. It was truly striking and I have tried to somehow emulate that in my own designs."

The woman she is designing for…

"I design for discerning women who look for covetable statement pieces with a contemporary edge."
