After being delayed out of respect for those affected by the wildfires that raged through Los Angeles last month, the 30th Critics' Choice Awards finally took place on Friday to celebrate achievements in film and television. A highly respected accolade, the Critics' Choice Awards have also been the greatest predictor of the winners for the upcoming Academy Awards.
In film, Demi Moore won the Best Actress trophy for her role in The Substance; Wicked director Jon M. Chu was awarded Best Director; Emilia Pérez's Zoe Saldaña took home Best Supporting Actress, while the film itself scored Best Foreign Language Film. As for television awards, Shōgun swept the evening with wins across Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Before the evening kicked off, all eyes were - of course - on the red carpet. One of the sartorial highlights of the event was Nicole Kidman in an oversized Saint Laurent suit, followed by Angelina Jolie, who wore a gown by Lebanese couturier Elie Saab.
